These days, it takes work to stand out among the greenest colleges. In researching this elite group, we found many schools with organic and local produce in the cafeterias, LEED requirements for all new buildings and free passes for public transportation. And while solar arrays and wind turbines are great, many have found that energy efficiency upgrades is where it's at. So what makes these 10 campuses take top billing among their peers?
